Randi Solin uses glass like a contemporary abstract expressionist painter.
She has been working in glass for over 30 years.
Her work has been collected, shown, and exhibited throughout the world, including the permanent collection at the White House, nine U.S. Embassies,
and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Randi creates original blown glass sculptures for galleries, art consultants, interior design trade, public and private collections, and art collectors.
She creates her signature glass artwork in her glassblowing arena at Fire Arts Vermont, located in Brattleboro, Vermont.
Solin earned her B.F.A. from the New York College of Ceramics at Alfred University, New York, and estabished her first glass studio in Northern California.
She has worked in southern Vermont since 1998.
“My optics serve as the window into my coloration process; into the 'soul' of a piece, allowing the viewer to peer into its interior life, like the rings of a tree.
All of my pieces are intellectually created on that notion, that with each finished work a history is revealed.”
