Collection: Kathleen Yorba

  • Art is more than just a product of the artist's hand. It's a vibrant language that speaks to our hearts and souls. It's a reflection of our experiences, our interpretations, and connections with the world around us. And like a fine wine, it only grows richer with time.

Kathleen Yorba is known for her blend of abstract and figurative paintings. Her works have been featured in solo, group, juried, invitational, national and international exhibitions, finding a home in both private and public collections, including the Santa Barbara Museum in California, George Fox University in Oregon, University of La Verne in California, and the University of California, Los Angeles (Triverton House) Self-Help Graphics, Los Angeles.

As a distinguished artist represented by Hammerfriar Gallery in Healdsburg, California, Kathleen's creations transcend conventional boundaries. Her canvases, infused with the essence of memory, become a bridge between the familiar and the enigmatic. Each stroke of her brush is a deliberate exploration, seeking connection with narratives and emotions that echo from the surface.

Kathleen holds a Master of Fine Arts from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of La Verne. Her artistic journey has been enriched by two residencies at Wyoming's Jentel Artist Residency. Born in the picturesque landscapes of Colorado, Yorba now calls the California Central Coast her home, drawing inspiration from its unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness.
